Music is that powerful human medium through which we interact socially in a more physical type of communication than language alone allows.

I love music; it is a powerful human medium. Musical interaction is a very important way in which I communicate. I try to involve myself in projects I believe are awesome. I have been a performer and arranger of electronic music for over fifteen years, utilizing various music technologies to create new sounds, record ambient soundscapes, and arrange musical ideas in dynamic ways. Lately I have found a lot of utility in computational music and emerging genres called “psychill” and “chillwave,” but I use music technologies to organize a myriad of musical interactions in fun ways. Irish traditional music has been a passion of mine for many years as well, and in March 2012 I purchased a C#/D Hohner Double-Ray button box. I have been learning tunes on this slightly sharp noisemaker ever since and enjoying myself immensely. I played the accordion in an awesome Irish band, Hearthstone, until 2016, but two of the band members have recently moved west. In 2017, Jaime and I formed the duo Hun Har Heste, through which we perform our own arrangements of traditional songs and tunes. I deeply enjoy traditional tunes from many different cultures; traditional musics, in general, are a continued fascination. I love connecting with others through the musical medium.

“After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.”
