Augur’s Lore and Other Gaming Updates

Our play test campaign for Augur’s Lore: Song of the Pale Stone had its third session this past Saturday. It’s a lot of fun, and exciting to see the game mechanic and setting get so much utility during each meeting. There’s a lot of editing ahead of me, I think, but I’m thrilled that what has been written thus far seems to be usable. I’m looking forward to continued editing and developing of the campaign. I’ve posted recaps of the game sessions thus far on the Augur’s Lore main website.

Additionally, I wrote a recent rundown of Cryptic and Perfectworld Entertainments D&D Neverwinter, a free-to-play MMO distributed through Arcworld. Though I’ve been too busy lately to invest any decent amount of time interacting in the game or playing at all, what I have played has been highly enjoyable. I spoke about it in more detail here, at The Skyforge Alliance main gaming community site.

In other game news, I’m excited for continued development of No Man’s Sky, almost to the point where I might want to invest in a PS4 if finances allow. This game is a constant enigma but draws a major amount of anticipation. I’m looking forward to seeing it launch. The preview that came out at E3 is absolutely sick, and people are coming out with articles stating that the procedural generated universe of the game will have so many planets within the galaxy that it would take billions of year to visit them all. I can’t wait to see what interaction in this game is like.

That’s all I’ve got at the moment. Work’s got me pretty busy. Hoping to find more time for Divinity: Original Sin, and to play more State of Decay: Lifeline!
